Hi Tim,

Your latest news letter asks for comment on multi route flights, As is planning a weeks flying round the country or Europe.

I asked about this in Feb 2012 as it is the one function I miss from my previous flight planning software i.e. FlightStar Routepacks or Flightplanner both of which allow flight planning of long routes with multiple landing airfields.

Please include this as soon as possible as current system is very frustrating.

D,

Re your last post.

When I used Flightstar (before I found the light with SkyDemon), I often flew over to France to visit friends. In Flightstar I could plan the following (all in one day), and all the PLOGS, W&B, timings etc would be updated for each leg.

Consider the scenario: Depart home airfield in UK - topped up with fuel (draw back :-)), and landed at Cherbourg to clear customs (but no refuel), then departed Cherbourg and landed mid-route to refuel, departed for final destination (southern France) with full tanks (and revised W&B) and PLOGS already calculated from departure point in UK. One trip in one day with multiple legs, some stops without refuelling, some with. I could also state how long I was going to on the ground for, this would then allow for accurate arrival times at the destination and also intermediate stops.

Hugh

OK but...

Since I fly a CT, I never have to worry about W&B (well almost never!).

The "route" function in SD Mobile will always update in real time as you fly. But I agree printout will be wrong unless you update and reprint.

NOTAMs & TAFs will need updating from 1 day to the next and unless you have mobile data in the air with Ipad or some such then it will always be out of date.

So unless I am missing something - not sure what multiple days flying enhancement will bring.

Last yr did following trip - Home airfield to Calais (customs & refuel) then on to Nuits St George (stayed over), next day to Saumur & Le Mans, next day Abbeville, next day home.

Planned all in advance and updated via laptop each evening re NOTAMs, WX etc.

Only "wrong" data in flight will be ETE (which will relate to estimated arrival time at home airfield rather than next landing A/F) but I can bring up route info which will ETAs for each waypoint.

But if there is something I am missing and it is a net agin I wd be "for" the extra functionality too!
